Background: Personal protective equipment (PPE) protects healthcare workers and patients. Data on guideline compliance on how to dress (donning) or remove (doffing) PPE and the assistance among multiple participants (buddying) are limited. This study assesses the quality of donning, doffing, and buddying of PPE in a simulated medical emergency.

A SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) Analysis of ChatGPT in the Medical Literature: Concise Review.

Background: ChatGPT is a 175-billion-parameter natural language processing model that is already involved in scientific content and publications. Its influence ranges from providing quick access to information on medical topics, assisting in generating medical and scientific articles and papers, performing medical data analyses, and even interpreting complex data sets.

Objective: The future role of ChatGPT remains uncertain and a matter of debate already shortly after its release.

Supercontinuum generation by co-filamentation of two color femtosecond laser pulses.

In this paper, we experimentally investigate supercontinuum generation via collinear two-color filamentation in sapphire crystal, by launching two femtosecond pulses at fundamental (1030 nm) and second harmonic (515 nm) wavelengths from an amplified Yb:KGW laser. By changing the time delay between the incident pulses, we observe dramatic changes in the supercontinuum spectrum, transmitted energy, position of the nonlinear focus and intensity distribution along the filamentinduced luminescence traces. In particular, we show that at some delays the two pump wavelengths can assist each other in generating supercontinuum, whilst at other delays large portions of the supercontinuum spectrum are completely extinguished.

Cross-sector analysis of socioeconomic, racial/ethnic, and urban/rural disparities in food policy enactment in the United States.

We examined racial/ethnic, socioeconomic, and urban/rural disparities in food policy enactment across different sectors, as well as retail food access, throughout the United States. Policy and retail food store data were obtained from 443 communities as part of the Bridging the Gap Community Obesity Measures Project. Our results indicated that median household income was inversely associated with healthier retail food zoning policies in Hispanic communities, where competitive food policies for schools were also healthier and mean fruit/vegetable access in stores was higher.

Associations between retail food store exterior advertisements and community demographic and socioeconomic composition.

This paper examines the association between the prevalence of various types of outdoor food and beverage advertising found on the building exteriors and properties of retail food outlets and community racial/ethnic and socioeconomic composition in a nationwide sample of food outlets in the U.S. Our major finding from multivariable analysis is that food stores in low-income communities have higher prevalence of all food and beverage ads, including those for unhealthy products such as regular soda, controlling for community racial/ethnic composition and other covariates.
