E.PathDash, pathway activation analysis of publicly available pathogen gene expression data.

Unlabelled: E.PathDash facilitates re-analysis of gene expression data from pathogens clinically relevant to chronic respiratory diseases, including a total of 48 studies, 548 samples, and 404 unique treatment comparisons. The application enables users to assess broad biological stress responses at the KEGG pathway or gene ontology level and also provides data for individual genes.

Quantification and precision: a brief look at some ancient accounts.

We explore the extent to which ancient Greek authors formulated concepts that approximate or encompass our modern notions of precision and accuracy. First, we focus on estimates and measurements of geographic features, astronomical times and positions, and weight. These raise further questions about whether the quantities reported were measured, estimated, or rounded.

JAANP Fellow Dr. Leslie-Faith Morritt Taub, NYU Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Program Director, describes the emotional, political, and social impact of COVID-19 on one graduating cohort of nurse practitioner (NP) students at New York University and one incoming cohort of students. Through the lens of a seasoned professor she describes the changes to her teaching methods because she leads these students through the course work and clinical work required to take on the role of the NP in the midst of a global pandemic in the heart of New York City.

Newborn Care in the Home and Health Facility: Formative Findings for Intervention Research in Cambodia.

Global coverage and scale up of interventions to reduce newborn mortality remains low, though progress has been achieved in improving newborn survival in many low-income settings. An important factor in the success of newborn health interventions, and moving to scale, is appropriate design of community-based programs and strategies for local implementation. We report the results of formative research undertaken to inform the design of a newborn health intervention in Cambodia.
