Development of Oil Industry in Poland in the Context of the European Union.

Oil industry is developing well in Poland. This study aimed to examine the development of the Polish oil industry after joining the European Union. The following questions were asked: What were the changes in the consumption of vegetable oils in Poland after EU enlargement in 2004? How did the production of vegetable oil change in Poland after EU enlargement in 2004? And has the liquidity of the Polish oil industry changed after EU enlargement in 2004? First, the changes in the oil industry were evaluated.

O-GlcNAc transferase congenital disorder of glycosylation (OGT-CDG): Potential mechanistic targets revealed by evaluating the OGT interactome.

O-GlcNAc transferase (OGT) is the sole enzyme responsible for the post-translational modification of O-GlcNAc on thousands of target nucleocytoplasmic proteins. To date, nine variants of OGT that segregate with OGT Congenital Disorder of Glycosylation (OGT-CDG) have been reported and characterized. Numerous additional variants have been associated with OGT-CDG, some of which are currently undergoing investigation.

Differential item functioning of the revised Multigroup Ethnic Identity Measure (MEIM-R) in racially and income diverse youth with type 1 diabetes.

Objective: Racially minoritized youth with T1D are made vulnerable to disproportionately adverse health outcomes compared to White peers due to enduring systems of oppression. Thus, understanding modifiable psychosocial factors associated with diabetes-related outcomes in racially minoritized youth may help to buffer deleterious effects of racism. One factor meriting exploration is racial-ethnic identity.

Targeting Mitochondrial Guanine Quadruplexes for Photoactivatable Chemotherapy in Hypoxic Environments.

A first example of a mitochondrial G-quadruplex (mitoG4s) targeted Ru(II) photooxidant complex is reported. The complex, Ru-TAP-PDC3 induces photodamage toward guanine quadruplexes (G4s) located in the mitochondrial genome under hypoxic and normoxic conditions. Ru-TAP-PDC3 shows high affinity for mitoG4s and localises within mitochondria of live HeLa cells.

American Board of Emergency Medicine Report on Residency and Fellowship Training Information (2023-2024).

The American Board of Emergency Medicine gathers extensive background information on Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education-accredited emergency medicine residency and fellowship programs as well as the residents and fellows training in those programs. We present the 2024 annual report on the status of physicians training in ACGME-accredited emergency medicine training programs in the United States.
