Although survival rates for patients with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma (NDMM) have improved over recent decades, multiple myeloma (MM) remains without a cure for most. There is increasing consensus that achievement of deep remissions, especially minimal residual disease negativity (MRD -), in frontline treatment is crucial and translates into improved survival. The standard of care (SOC) for NDMM consists at minimum of a triplet regimen of therapies, with or without an autologous stem cell transplant, or a doublet regimen for certain ineligible, particularly frail patients who may have specific limitations.

Exposure to Oil Spill Among Fishers on the Brazilian Coast in 2019/2020.

Objective: In 2019/2020, the Brazilian coast was affected by the largest oil spill disaster affecting the extent of the coastline recorded in tropical oceans. The impact on fishing areas and the prohibition of seafood sales and consumption exacerbated small-scale fishers' vulnerability. The small-scale fishers (SSFs) were the most active in protecting fishing territories, carrying out cleanup efforts without adequate personal protective equipment.

Communities with high native species diversity tend to be less susceptible to the establishment of invasive species, especially in studies that test their local impact. This study investigated the impact of competition between native submerged aquatic macrophytes (SAMs) ( and ) and the exotic , recognized for its invasive potential in aquatic ecosystems, through a mesocosm experiment conducted over six months. sp. nov., a Gram-Positive, Spore-Forming Rod Isolated from a Pharmaceutical Facility Production Environment and Added to the MALDI Biotyper Database.

A Gram-positive, aerobic, rod-shaped and spore-forming bacterium strain designation, B190/17, was isolated from an air monitoring sample of a Brazilian immunobiological production facility in 2017. The strain was not identifiable by biochemical methodology VITEK 2 or by MALDI-TOF MS with VITEK MS RUO and MALDI Biotyper. The 16S rRNA gene sequencing results showed 98.
