Smoking Among Healthcare Professionals in Australia: A Scoping Review.

Studies showed healthcare professionals who are non-smokers are more likely to deliver smoking cessation advice to their patients than those who are smokers. However, healthcare professionals continue to smoke across the globe. This scoping review assessed the available data on the prevalence and predictors of smoking among healthcare professionals in Australia.

Exploring Paramedicine Models of Care: A Novel Macro Analysis Using the RESPIGHT Framework.

Objective: To evaluate the alignment of undergraduate paramedicine curricula in Australia with the RESPIGHT model, focusing on diverse aspects such as emergency response, community engagement and governance.

Design: Deductive thematic analysis was conducted to assess the alignment of curricula from 16 Australian universities with the RESPIGHT framework.

Setting: The study reviewed undergraduate pre-registration paramedicine programmes across Australian universities.

Aims: To explore trends in clinical outcomes in chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV)-infected patients and compare the impact of tenofovir versus entecavir on the risk of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), liver transplantation (LT) and mortality.

Methods: We used the French National Health Insurance Databases (SNDS) to identify HBV-infected patients.

Communication needs and support for children and adolescents with complex communication needs requiring hospitalization in Hong Kong: an explorative study.

Purpose: Children with complex communication needs face particular challenges during hospitalization. This study aimed to understand the situation for hospitalized Hong Kong Chinese children with complex communication needs.

Methods: Six group interviews were conducted with 23 participants, including nurses, doctors, adolescents with acquired brain injury, parents of children with acquired brain injury or cerebral palsy, and community-based therapists.
