Despite vaccination programs, pertussis has been poorly controlled, especially among older adults in Australia. This longitudinal, retrospective, observational study aimed to estimate the incidence and risk factors of pertussis among persons ≥50 years of age in Australia in the primary care setting, including those with underlying chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) or asthma. We used the IQVIA general practitioner electronic medical record database to identify patients ≥50 years of age with a clinical diagnosis of pertussis during 2015-2019.

UV-B provokes DNA damage, such as cyclobutane pyrimidine dimers (CPD) or pyrimidine (6-4) pyrimidone photoproducts (6-4 PPs). The cryptochrome/photolyase family (CPF) comprises flavoproteins that can bind damaged or undamaged DNA.

We describe a case report and propose a treatment algorithm for isolated dislocations of the carpometacarpal joint of the fifth finger to the palmar that is not diagnosed and treated early, using this algorithm, the surgeon will have a vision of the probable best treatment option.
Case Presentation: A 50-year-old with late presentation of palmar dislocation of the fifth metacarpal bone, the diagnosis that went unnoticed in the initial emergency assessment.
