Giant seminal vesicle cystadenoma diagnosed on imagery after acute urinary retention in a middle-aged man: A case report with brief literature review.

Seminal vesicle cystadenomas (SVC) are exceedingly rare benign tumors, with only 22 cases reported in the literature up to 2018. Here, we present the case of a 40-year-old man who presented with acute urinary retention secondary to a giant pelvic mass. Radiological imaging diagnosed a retrovesical well-delimited multicystic tumor, initially suspected to arise from the left lobe of the prostate but ultimately confirmed to originate from left seminal vesicle.

Prophylactic Mesh-related Reoperations and Mesh-related Problems During Subsequent Relaparotomies: Long-term Results From the PRIMA Trial.

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate all mesh-related problems during reoperations after mesh-reinforcement 15 years after the start of the PRIMA trial. SUMMARY BACKGROUND DATA Prophylactic mesh reinforcement during closure of a midline laparotomy has proven to reduce the incidence of incisional hernia, especially in high-risk patients, but long-term mesh-related morbidity is largely unknown.

Methods: Patients receiving a prophylactic onlay or retro-rectus mesh in the PRIMA trial between 2009 and 2012 were included on an as-treated basis from participating centers that made reoperation notes available.

Transforming healthcare: A pilot study to improve primary healthcare professionals' self-management support behaviour through blended learning.

Background: Self-management of a chronic condition is a complex but increasingly important issue. However, a supportive attitude and behaviour among healthcare professionals is hampered by a lack of awareness, knowledge and motivation. In addition, the role of professionals in supporting self-management seems unclear.

Self-management support (SMS) in primary care practice: a qualitative focus group study of care professionals' experiences.

Background: To support self-management of chronically ill persons, innovative approaches of care practice are being developed. Unfortunately, many self-management supporting interventions struggle to achieve reliable and consistent improvements at various levels (patient, provider and healthcare system level). Background: Incisional hernia occurs approximately in 40% of high-risk patients after midline laparotomy. Prophylactic mesh placement has shown promising results, but long-term outcomes are needed. The present study aimed to assess the long-term incisional hernia rates of the previously conducted PRIMA trial with radiological follow-up.
