Eversa Transform (ETL) was immobilized on octyl agarose beads at two different enzymes loadings (1 mg/g and 15 mg/g) under 18 different conditions, including different pH values, buffers, additives (different solvents, Ca, NaCl). Their activity was analyzed at pH 5 and 7 with p-nitrophenyl butyrate and at pH 5 with triacetin, determining also its stability at pH 5 and 7 (in different media). Ca stabilized ETL biocatalysts while phosphate destabilized them.

Emulsions were prepared from T. vulgaris essential oil using the surfactants Pluronic F127 and Tween 80 by mechanical agitation (Emulsion_Tw and Emulsion_Pl) and sonication using an ultrasonic tip (Sonicated_emulsion_Tw and Sonicated_emulsion_Pl). These emulsions were incorporated into pectin films.

Unlabelled: is an anaerobic and thermophilic bacterium that has been genetically engineered for ethanol production at very high yields. However, the underlying reactions responsible for electron flow, redox equilibrium, and how they relate to ethanol production in this microbe are not fully elucidated. Therefore, we performed a series of genetic manipulations to investigate the contribution of hydrogenase genes to high ethanol yield, generating evidence for the importance of hydrogen-reacting enzymes in ethanol production.

Objective: The aim of this study was to provide a comprehensive clinicopathological analysis of oral Kaposi sarcoma (KS) cases and examine its relationship with HIV-related immunosuppression.

Study Design: Paraffin-embedded tissue blocks of patients microscopically diagnosed with oral KS were retrieved from three oral and maxillofacial pathology files. Data including clinical, laboratory, microscopic and immunohistochemical findings and treatment employed were retrieved.
