Background: The optimal margins for surgically treated human papilloma virus (HPV)-related oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) remain undefined. We evaluated the impact of surgical margins on progression-free survival (PFS) in patients with HPV+ OPSCC treated with primary transoral robotic surgery (TORS).
Methods: Patients undergoing primary TORS from May 2012 to December 2021 for intermediate-risk (T1-T2, resected to clear (≥ 3 mm) or close margins (< 3 mm), and N1-N2) HPV+ OPSCC were included.

Background: There is a significant delay between symptom onset and diagnosis of childhood asthma, but the impact of this delay on asthma outcomes has not been well understood.
Objectives: We sought to study the association of delayed diagnosis of asthma with asthma exacerbations (AEs) in children.
Methods: Using the Mayo Clinic birth cohort, we identified children with a diagnosis of asthma from electronic health records.

The Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales-3rd Edition (Vineland-3) is one of the most used measures of adaptive behavior among those with sodium channel protein type 2 subunit alpha related disorders (SCN2A-RDs). Several disease-modifying treatments are in early trials for SCN2A-RDs, and as such, clinical outcome assessments (COAs) are necessary. The Vineland-3 introduced growth scale values (GSVs), which are useful for measuring within-person change and thus may be useful in future clinical trials.

Alternative models of care are required that promote engagement and are effective, accessible, and scalable.
Objective: This randomized trial evaluated whether a stepped care approach to ICBT using therapist guidance via videoconferencing for the step-up component (ICBT-SC[VC]) is noninferior to ICBT with full therapist delivery by videoconferencing (ICBT-TG[VC]) for child and adolescent anxiety.
AHA/ASA guidelines recommend patients with ischemic stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA) be considered for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) evaluation, given the high prevalence of OSA and improved outcomes for cerebrovascular disease when OSA is treated. However, OSA testing has not been incorporated into routine cerebrovascular management. We interviewed 30 patients hospitalized for acute stroke/TIA at six Veterans Affairs facilities participating in a stepped-wedge implementation trial to improve timely OSA testing after stroke/TIA.
