[To the issue on the optimization and regulation of microclimate in the subway trains and stations].

There is presented an overview of currently existing regulatory framework governing the parameters of the microclimate in the salons of subway passenger cars and stations. Analysis of the normative documents indicated that they contain very incomplete, contradictory, often unfounded information about the parameters of microclimate parameters in salons of subway rolling stock. Also, there are no clear cut hygienically-sound requirements for the work of imposed on the rolling stock subway systems provide microclimate, including new systems for air conditioning and disinfection.

[A scientific providing for the system of hygienic optimization and anti-epidemic safety of rail ridership].

The system of scientific and reasonable measures for hygienic and anti-epidemic providing of rail ridership is elaborated. The legal and methodical base for precautionary and current sanitary inspection in the field of hygiene and epidemiology of ridership has been created, standard and methodical documents have been introduced in practice of medical sanitary health services of the railroads and accepted to realization by the design, car-building and car-repair organizations. Sanitary and hygienic monitoring for rail ridership, including control for sanitary, hygienic and microbiological indices of the air environment of passenger and service premises of stations and passenger trains, and also control for indices of health of the workers providing ridership, with use of pre-nosological symptoms of pathology is organized.

[Real problems of conducting social-hygienic monitoring on railroads].

Sociohygienic monitoring on the railway transport, which is a branch part of the state sociohygienic monitoring system, includes observation, analysis, assessment, and prediction of the health status and habitat of railway workers and population to be served, as well as the establishment of associations of the health status with environmental factors. Standard legal, scientific-and-methodological, and organizational bases have been set up for branch monitoring. The basic parameters and the procedure for interaction of branch and territorial entities have been defined.
