[Pathological and protective effects of tumor necrosis factor-alpha in multiple sclerosis].

The immunomodulatory cytokine tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) is involved in the regulation of both physiological and pathological processes in the central nervous system (CNS). The effects of TNF-α on CNS reported in clinical trials and experimental studies, evidence of involvement of this cytokine in the pathogenesis of multiple sclerosis are analyzed. Possible causes of failures of non-selective pharmacological inhibition of TNF-α effects in MS are considered in view of current concepts on mechanisms of TNF-α action.

Assessment of the toxicity of silicon nanooxide in relation to various components of the agroecosystem under the conditions of the model experiment.

Investigation of SiO nanoparticles (NPs) effect on Eisenia fetida showed no toxic effect of the metal at a concentration of 250, 500 and 1000 mg per kg of soil, but conversely, a biomass increase from 23.5 to 29.5% (at the protein level decrease from 60 to 80%).

Impact of molybdenum nanoparticles on survival, activity of enzymes, and chemical elements in Eisenia fetida using test on artificial substrata.

The influence of molybdenum oxide nanoparticles (MoO3) on the growth and survival of Eisenia fetida was established. The activity of antioxidant enzymes and changes in concentration of molybdenum in the body of E. fetida were determined.

[The assessment of medical therapy effectiveness of patients with lower limb chronic venous insufficiency: the results of prospective study with Ginkor Fort].

The results of prospective study on combined agent Ginkor Fort are presented. The study included 60 patients with variceal disease and clinical picture of chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), II-IV CEAP class. Besides the registration of common and well known subjective signs (lower limb pain, heaviness and discomfort feelings, night palsies and paresthesia, edema), the main outcome measures included the results of digital photo-plethysmography (PPG).
