The first case of human invasion by in the European part of Russia.

The article presents a rare case of human invasion by the trematode in the European part of Russia. The diagnosis was established based on a parasitological study of flukes removed from the tonsils and pharynx of a 42-year-old woman, a resident of the Tambov region of Russia.

[A case of pleuropulmonary dirofilariasis caused by Dirofilaria repens. Case report].

The differential diagnosis of neoplasms of various localizations is the primary task in clinical practice of all physicians. We present a description of the case of invasion with Dirofilaria repens in the lung of a 68-year-old patient. In 2016 the patient was diagnosed with cancer of the left kidney and underwent a left-sided nephrectomy.

Electrokinetic Properties of Mesoporous Vitreous Membranes Doped by Silver-Silver Halides.

Silver/silver halide materials are considered as efficient and highly stable plasmonic photocatalysts for the organic pollutant degradation and hydrogen evolution from water splitting under solar irradiation, and they possess promising antibacterial activity. Ordered mesoporous silica materials including porous glasses are considered as the most promising template for silver-containing structures. In the present work, Ag/AgHal-doped (Hal = Cl, Br) vitreous membranes on a base of the mesoporous glasses were prepared via step-by-step single-stage impregnation procedure.

New Genetically Determined Markers of the Functional State of the Cardiovascular System.

Nowadays, cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) occupy a leading position in population mortality. Since it is known that the development of cardiovascular pathologies is determined mainly by the human genetic burden, an urgent task of primary prevention of CVDs is to assess the contribution of gene polymorphism to the formation of cardiovascular risk. The material for the study was the blood of volunteers aged 21 to 102 years.
