Introduction: Currently, few prospective guidelines exist for the surveillance of children with low-risk neuroblastic tumors (LRNBTs), including ganglioneuroma or ganglioneuroblastoma intermixed. This study aims to describe our institutional approach to LRNBT surveillance following surgical resection or nonoperative management. We hypothesize that length of surveillance can be reduced due to low recurrence risk.

Materials And Methods: A randomised controlled trial of client-owned dogs and cats requiring intravenous catheterisation was performed. They were randomly allocated to either have lidocaine/prilocaine cream applied to their skin 1 hour prior to intravenous catheterisation or a swab saturated with vapocoolant spray applied immediately prior to intravenous catheterisation.
Hippocampal neuroinflammation is present in multiple diseases and disorders that impact motivated behaviour in a sex-specific manner, but whether neuroinflammation alone is sufficient to disrupt this behaviour is unknown. We investigated this question here using mice. First, the application of an endotoxin to primary cultures containing only hippocampal neurons did not affect their activation.

The shifts in soil properties caused by land use change leads to modifications in microbiome function, resulting in either loss or gain of soil organic carbon (SOC). Soil pH is the primary factor regulating microbiome characteristics leading to distinct pathways of microbial carbon cycling, but the underlying mechanisms remain understudied.
