Milvexian is an oral, small-molecule factor XIa inhibitor being developed to prevent thromboembolic events. This study assessed the absolute bioavailability (F) of milvexian following single doses of milvexian spray-dried dispersion (SDD) formulation under fed and fasted conditions, and milvexian solution, in healthy adult participants using an intravenous microtracer approach. This was a phase I, open-label, partially randomized, 4-sequence, 5-period crossover study.

In patients with heart failure (HF) who respond inadequately to loop diuretic therapy, BMS-986308, an oral, selective, reversible renal outer medullary potassium channel (ROMK) inhibitor may represent an effective diuretic with a novel mechanism of action. We present data from the first-in-human study aimed to assess the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) following single ascending doses of BMS-986308 in healthy adult participants. Forty healthy participants, aged from 20 to 55 years, and body mass index (BMI) from 19.

Article Synopsis
  • * It covers several treatments for hypotension, including medications that act on the sympathetic nervous system such as midodrine and dihydroergotamine, as well as dopamine agonists and other agents like ephedrine and fludrocortisone, noting their unique mechanisms.
  • * The review stresses the need for better understanding of the efficacy and safety of these treatments, calling for more research to develop evidence-based guidelines to help healthcare providers make informed decisions in managing hypotension.

This Letter reports the observation of single top quarks produced together with a photon, which directly probes the electroweak coupling of the top quark. The analysis uses 139  fb^{-1} of 13 TeV proton-proton collision data collected with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. Requiring a photon with transverse momentum larger than 20 GeV and within the detector acceptance, the fiducial cross section is measured to be 688±23(stat) _{-71}^{+75}(syst)  fb, to be compared with the standard model prediction of 515_{-42}^{+36}  fb at next-to-leading order in QCD.

Article Synopsis
  • The letter details a study by the ATLAS experiment measuring the nuclear modification factor (R_{AA}) of large-radius jets in high-energy Pb+Pb collisions at 5.02 TeV using data from both Pb+Pb and proton-proton (pp) collisions.
  • The large-radius jets were analyzed using a specific reconstruction algorithm and were measured across a set range of transverse momentum and pseudorapidity.
  • The findings indicate that jets with a more complex internal structure experience greater energy loss (quenching) compared to simpler jets, which provides insights into how jet structure influences jet suppression in nuclear matter.
