A number of various drugs have been on the market for decades. While some sectors in medicine have been quick to adapt modern developments, drug treatment has consistently lagged behind because of traditional, but dated, prescribing habits or persistent trade profits. The time has come to review such habits and relegate a great number of old drugs to oblivion.
