Unlabelled: The aim of the work was to study the clinical and genetic factors at children with obese that predispose to the development of MS, and the development of algorithm for generating risk of MS.
Materials And Methods: Two comparable age and sex groups of children--148 children with obesity and 46--with normal body weight. We assessed anthropometric indices, blood pressure (BP), lipid profile, carbohydrate metabolism, the level of uric acid.
Aim: To study structural and functional changes in the thyroid gland (TG) in pregnant women living in iodine-deficiency regions; to evaluate efficacy of prophylactic measures.
Material And Methods: Random sample method was used for examination of 1090 pregnant women living in the regions with different iodine provision. All the participants were examined clinically, measurements were made of thyroid size, TTH, free T4, iodinuria.
Medical examinations of children from 3 types of preschool educational establishments provided educational and health-promoting measures in addition to their curricula. The measures exerted a positive impact on the children's health.

The children had remission lasting from 6 to 120 months and were followed up for 7-14 years after the diagnosis was made.
