In this manuscript, we summarize the discussions and key messages from developed in the e-environment team of the European Bioanalysis forum, which were the basis of a subsequent workshop on cloud applications in a regulated bioanalysis lab environment, hosted by the European Bioanalysis Forum e-environment team at their 16th Open Symposium in Barcelona, Spain in November 2023. The purpose of our discussions is to provide further insight and understanding on the status of having cloud applications implemented in a regulated bioanalysis laboratory and the challenges experienced. The discussions highlight the importance of cross functional collaboration during the entire process of cloud implementation and some of the uncertainties in the different functions' roles and responsibilities.

In this opinion, we offer a new perspective on the important and persistent problem of diagnostic errors for patients with non-specific complaints (NSCs). As an increasing number of complex patients present clinicians with challenging diagnostic work in the time-pressured and high-volume contexts of EDs, we need to improve how clinicians and healthcare organizations can understand and perform safe diagnostics for patients with NSCs. The combination of a growing number of patients with NSCs and the ways in which clinicians use the categories 'non-specific complaints' and 'non-specific diagnosis' in diagnostic work in emergency departments presents a growing patient safety concern especially for older patients with multimorbidity that require the integration of clinical and organizational research.

Unlabelled: Gastrointestinal disease caused by is associated with the pathogen's ability to replicate within epithelial cells and macrophages. Upon host cell entry, the bacteria express a type-three secretion system encoded within pathogenicity island 2, through which host-manipulating effector proteins are secreted to establish a stable intracellular niche. Transcription of this intracellular virulence program is activated by the PhoPQ two-component system that senses the low pH and the reduced magnesium concentration of host cell vacuoles.
