The π-bonds in unsaturated organic molecules are typically associated with having well-defined geometries that are conserved across diverse structural contexts. Nonetheless, these geometries can be distorted, leading to heightened reactivity of the π-bond. Although π-bond-containing compounds with bent geometries are well utilized in synthetic chemistry, the corresponding leveraging of π-bond-containing compounds that display twisting or pyramidalization remains underdeveloped.

Data Sources: PubMed (January 2015 to April 2024), bibliographies of relevant articles, and ARDS Network and Prevention & Early Treatment of Acute Lung Injury (PETAL) network websites.
Study Selection: Observational studies and clinical trials that reported on cause of death in greater than or equal to 30 patients with ARDS, not obtained from death certificates.
People with refugees and asylum seeker status (R/AS) have been forced to leave their home and resettle in new countries due to political unrest, conflict, and violence. This review aimed to describe the nature and extent of cultural adaptations to psychological interventions for adults with R/AS experiencing clinically significant psychological distress, and the acceptability and efficacy of these interventions. A search was conducted in October 2023 and February 2024 across five electronic databases: PsycINFO, Medline, Embase, PubMed, and Cochrane.

Antibiotic combination therapy is currently used in cases of persistent infection; however, the limited development of new antibiotics will likely increase the need for combination therapy, and better methods are needed for identifying effective combinations for treating persistent bacteremia. To identify pairwise combinations with the most consistent potential for benefit compared to monotherapy with a primary anti-MRSA agent, we conducted a systematic study with an high-throughput methodology.
