[Problems in practical implementation of the external quality control program in clinical laboratory investigations].

Center for External Quality Assessment in Laboratory Medicine has been organized in Russia. The National External Quality Assessment Scheme for 16 common analyses in clinical chemistry was implemented in 1992 under governmental support. A total of 1180 laboratories wished to participate in the program.

[Diagnostic informative value of enzyme tests in the detection of pancreatic involvement in systemic scleroderma].

Thirty-three patients with systemic scleroderma were examined using a complex of enzymatic tests to detect pancreatic involvement. The diagnostic informative value of these tests was found to be not inferior to that of acknowledged instrumental methods of examination: pancreatic involvement was detected in 25 of the 33 patients with systemic scleroderma.
