Donor-derived cell-free DNA (dd-cfDNA) in the peripheral blood of allograft recipients has shown to early identify allograft injury. In this study, we assessed the factors that influence the amount of circulating dd-cfDNA during the first month postkidney transplant as well as its longitudinal trend. We report an unusual presentation of PTDM with diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA). This is unique as PTDM typically resembles Type 2 DM, whereas DKA is associated with Type 1 DM and has rarely been reported as a complication of tacrolimus.

Here, we retrospectively analyzed the proportion of Bregs, transitional Bregs (tBregs) and memory Bregs (mBregs) and their capacity to produce IL-10 in non-rejected (NR) versus rejected (RJ) kidney transplant recipients. In the NR group, we observed a significant increase in the proportion of mBregs (CD19CD24CD27) but no difference in tBregs (CD19CD24CD38), as compared to the RJ group.
