Purpose: This study aimed to determine the optimal combination mode of intermittent pneumatic compression (IPC) when combined with hyperthermia (IPCH) at varying temperatures to prevent lower extremity deep vein thrombosis (DVT) following orthopedic surgery.
Methods: Hemodynamic data from a previous experiment on the physiological state and the IPCH (40°C) group were utilized as the control group. Twenty adult male white rabbits, weighing 2.
Hibiscus mutabilis, commonly known as the cotton rose, is a widely cultivated ornamental and has been acclaimed as the representative flower of the 2024 World Horticultural Exposition. The growth and ornamental characteristics of Hibiscus mutabilis can be affected by drought stress. Therefore, we investigated the physiological and metabolic responses of drought-sensitive Hibiscus mutabilis JRX-1 and drought-tolerant Hibiscus mutabilis CDS-4 under drought stress.

This study aimed to use intersectional hybrid cultivars as female parents and wild lilies as male parents to facilitate early identification of hybrid offsprings and enhance the efficiency and convenience of the process.
Methods: We investigated the nature of cross combinations using Non-denaturing Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization (ND-FISH) and Genomic In Situ Hybridization (GISH) techniques.
Lupus nephritis (LN), a complex complication of systemic lupus erythematosus, requires in-depth cellular and molecular analysis for advanced treatment strategies, including mRNA vaccine development. In this study, we analyzed single-cell RNA sequencing data from 24 LN patients and 10 healthy controls, supplemented by bulk RNA-seq data from additional LN patients and controls. By applying non-negative matrix factorization (NMF), we identified four distinct leukocyte meta-programs in LN, highlighting diverse immune functions and potential mRNA vaccine targets.
