The announcement of diabetes can be an ordeal for the person learning about it, and a difficult time for the doctor notifying them. By setting up a multi-professional team, we can offer personalized nursing support. This meets patients' expectations.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFOptical manipulation of quantum systems requires stable laser sources able to produce complex waveforms over a large frequency range. In the visible region, such waveforms can be generated using an acousto-optic modulator driven by an arbitrary waveform generator, but these suffer from a limited tuning range typically of a few tens of MHz. Visible-range electro-optic modulators are an alternative option offering a larger modulation bandwidth, however they have limited output power which drastically restricts the scalability of quantum applications.

The development of AKI in intensive care unit (ICU) settings is linked to prolonged ICU stays, a heightened risk of long-term renal dysfunction, and elevated short- and long-term mortality rates. The current diagnostic approach for AKI is based on late indicators, such as elevated serum creatinine and decreased urine output, which can only detect AKI after renal injury has transpired.

We evaluated its utility in the study of economically important viruses from the genus (anguillid herpesvirus 1, cyprinid herpesvirus 2 and cyprinid herpesvirus 3 (CyHV-3)). This revealed that zebrafish larvae were not susceptible to these viruses after immersion in contaminated water, but that infections could be established using artificial infection models in vitro (zebrafish cell lines) and in vivo (microinjection of larvae).

The Zα domain protein family includes cellular (ADAR1, ZBP1 and PKZ) and viral (vaccinia virus E3 and cyprinid herpesvirus 3 (CyHV-3) ORF112) proteins. We studied CyHV-3 ORF112, which contains an intrinsically disordered region and a Zα domain.
