  • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) affects about 30% of adults following a traumatic event, often leading to persistent sleep disturbances and nightmares that cause significant emotional distress.
  • Over 70% of PTSD patients experience post-traumatic nightmares, which are considered one of the earliest symptoms and are not effectively treated by standard PTSD treatments.
  • Imagery rehearsal therapy, a first-line treatment for these nightmares, uses mental imagery and cognitive restructuring techniques, and has been shown to improve the frequency of nightmares, insomnia severity, sleep quality, and overall PTSD symptoms.

Aim: Although newer technologies of insulin delivery in type 1 diabetes have facilitated an improvement in glycaemic control the risk of hypoglycaemia remains a threat. Therefore, it is important to define the thresholds of glycaemic variability below which the risk of hypoglycaemia can be eliminated or at least minimized.

Methods: Randomized controlled trials conducted from 2017 to 2023 comparing Sensor-Augmented-Pumps and Augmented Insulin Delivery Systems (n = 16 and 22 studies, respectively) were selected.

During the last decade, efficient direct-acting antivirals were introduced into clinical practice. However, clearance of the virus does not reduce the risk of end-stage liver diseases to the level observed in patients who have never been infected.

Objectives: PsA and gout are two prevalent rheumatic diseases, that can be associated as part of a rheumatism known as 'Psout'. Both conditions are associated with cardiovascular (CV) risk, thus their co-occurrence could have significant implications for the management of CV risks and patient care. This study aimed to determine the prevalence of gout within a PsA patient cohort and, consequently, to identify factors associated with this pathological association.
