Background: Macrophages play a pivotal role in the development and recovery of acute lung injury (ALI), wherein their phenotypic differentiation and metabolic programming are orchestrated by mitochondria. Specifically, the mitochondrial calcium uniporter (MCU) regulates mitochondrial Ca (Ca) uptake and may bridge the metabolic reprogramming and functional regulation of immune cells. However, the precise mechanism on macrophages remains elusive.

Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Yi Qi Chu Tan Formula (YQCTF), a prescription consisting of eight traditional Chinese medicine for treating lung cancer, has been clinically proven to be effective in improving the life quality and prolonging the survival time of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients.

Aim Of The Study: This study aimed to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of YQCTF on NSCLC mice model and further explore its therapeutic targets by using network pharmacology, proteomics and pharmacodynamic methodologies.

Microbacterium shaanxiense sp. nov., isolated from the nodule surface of soybean.

A Gram-stain-positive, non-motile, catalase- and oxidase-positive rod, designated CCNWSP60(T), was isolated from the nodule surface of soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merrill] cultivar Zhonghuang 13. 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis clearly showed that the isolate belonged to the genus Microbacterium .

Application of DNA profiling to paternity testing during early pregnancy.

Four probes that recognize D2S44, D17S79, D4S163 and D18S27 loci, were used to produce DNA profiles of 8- to 10-week-old chorionic villus samples and from blood samples of their respective parents. A total of 30 pedigrees were analyzed. The results showed strict Mendelian inheritance.
