Investigation of the in-plane and out-of-plane electrical properties of metallic nanoparticles in dielectric matrix thin films elaborated by atomic layer deposition.

Pt nanoparticles in a AlO dielectric matrix thin films are elaborated by means of atomic layer deposition. These nanostructured thin films are integrated in vertical and planar test structures in order to assess both their in-plane and out-of-plane electrical properties. A shadow edge evaporation process is used to develop planar devices with electrode separation distances in the range of 30 nm.

[Efficiency of seasonal influenza vaccine in persons older than 65 in Romania. Pilot case-control study I-MOVE, 2008-2009].

Cantacuzino Institute conducted between September 2008 and June 2009, a pilot case-control study to monitor the influenza vaccine effectiveness on people over 65 years of age from Romania. This study is part of the I-MOVE project "Monitoring the vaccine effectiveness during seasonal and pandemic influenza in EU/EEA member states, 2008-2009", coordinated by EpiConcept, France and financed by European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), Stockholm, Sweden. Forty seven family doctors and epidemiologists from Bucharest and seven influenza sentinel districts were selected to participate in this project, based on epidemiological and geographical criteria.
