Objectives: To evaluate the clinical performance of posterior restorations over wet and dry dentin with an etch-and-rinse adhesive after 36 months of clinical service.
Methods: Forty-five participants were recruited, each one had at least two posterior teeth that needed restoration. Ninety restorations were placed on Class I or Class II cavities.
Objective: To evaluate the microshear bond strength (mSBS) of 10 universal adhesive systems applied on five different CAD/CAM restorative materials, immediately and after thermal aging.
Methods And Materials: Five CAD/CAM materials were selected: 1) feldspathic glass ceramic (FeCe); 2) pre-polymerized reinforced resin composite (ReRC); 3) leucite-reinforced glass ceramic (LeGC); 4) lithium disilicate (LiDi); and 5) yttrium-stabilized zirconium dioxide (ZiDi). For each material, 15 blocks were cut into four rectangular sections (6 × 6 × 6 mm; n=60 per group) and processed as recommended by the respective manufacturer.
Purpose: To evaluate how incorporating copper nanoparticles (CuNp) into a universal adhesive affects the antimicrobial activity (AMA), bond strength (μTBS), nanoleakage (NL), elastic modulus (EM) and nanohardness (NH) of resin-dentin interfaces, at 24 h (24 h) and after in situ cariogenic challenge (CC).
Methods: CuNp (0% [control] and 0.1 wt%) was added to an adhesive.
The aim of the present study was to evaluate the influence of several experimental pretreatment crosslinker solutions on the resin polymer-dentine interface created using a representative universal adhesive system, by means of microtensile bond strength testing (μTBS), nanomechanical properties and ultramorphology confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM). Five experimental solutions containing different flavonoids were applied as dentine pretreatment after acid etching. A control pretreatment group containing no flavonoid was also employed.

Methods: 90 restorations were inserted in 45 patients to treat carious lesions or to replace existing posterior restorations with a depth ≥ 3 mm. After cavity preparation, the simplified etch-and-rinse adhesive (Adper Single Bond 2) was applied on dry or wet dentin followed by a bulk-fill resin composite (Filtek Bulk Fill) under rubber dam isolation.
