Purpose: Currently, assisted reproduction clinics employ various sperm selection techniques to identify the best sperm for fertilization. However, these techniques may not assess crucial sperm traits that can substantially impact embryonic quality. To address this, we propose analyzing diverse histone modifications as potential markers of sperm functionality and success in assisted reproduction techniques.

Data Synthesis: MASLD is the new proposed term for steatotic liver disease that replaces the old terminology of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. This term focused on the relationship between metabolic alteration and hepatic steatosis, reflecting a growing comprehension of the association between metabolic dysfunction and hepatic steatosis.
Background: Heart failure (HF) patients are at constant risk of decompensation, and urgent hospital admissions can be life-threatening events. Monitoring biological variables has been proved to be an important mechanism to anticipate decompensations. TriageHF is a validated diagnostic algorithm tool available on Medtronic® cardiac implantable electronic devices that combines physiological data to stratify a patient's risk of HF hospitalization in the following 30 days in low, medium or high risk.

This high risk of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality in RA has been increasingly acknowledged in past decades, with accumulating evidence that RA is an independent cardiovascular risk factor; RA is also associated with metabolic syndrome, which correlates with disease activity, contributing to the increased prevalence of coronary heart disease in RA patients. Moreover, multimorbidity, including the presence of long-term conditions, impacts adverse clinical outcomes in RA patients, emphasizing the need for holistic management that requires an understanding of shared pathophysiological mechanisms, such as systemic inflammation and immune dysregulation.

Fire recurrence, in particular, could be a key driver shaping ecosystem service resilience in fire-prone ecosystems. This study evaluates the impact of fire recurrence, over twenty-four years, on the potential supply capacity of ten regulating, provisioning, and cultural services selected as critical services by stakeholders and experts.
