Effective data representation in machine learning and deep learning is paramount. For an algorithm or neural network to capture patterns in data and be able to make reliable predictions, the data must appropriately describe the problem domain. Although there exists much literature on data preprocessing for machine learning and data science applications, novel data representation methods for enhancing machine learning model performance remain highly absent within the literature.

Synchronized movement of Z-ring filaments and peptidoglycan synthesis along the axis of division generates a division septum to separate the daughter cells. Thus, FtsZ needs to be linked to the peptidoglycan synthesis machinery.

It requires prompt diagnosis and treatment to prevent unnecessary morbidity and mortality. We present an unusual presentation that highlights the consequences of delayed diagnosis and management and propose methods for improving care for patients receiving peritoneal dialysis.

Although GpsB has been studied in several bacteria, the structure, function, and interactome of GpsB is largely uncharacterized. To address this knowledge gap, we solved the crystal structure of the N-terminal domain of GpsB, which adopts an atypical, asymmetric dimer, and demonstrates major conformational flexibility that can be mapped to a hinge region formed by a three-residue insertion exclusive to .

This study examined the role of procalcitonin in predicting failure of non-operative management (NOM) in bowel obstructions. Patients with bowel obstructions at a single center from August 2022 to January 2023 were prospectively enrolled (n = 79).
