Cadmium and wild boar: Environmental exposure and immunological impact on macrophages.

Cadmium (Cd) is regarded as one of the most toxic heavy metals, which can enter the food chain through environmental contamination and be bioaccumulated. Its exposure in Ligurian wild boars was monitored between 2016-2020 and revealed high level of this heavy metal in different provinces. In one of these polluted area, 21 wild boars were additionally sampled and the relationship between hepatic and renal Cd concentration suggested that majority of these animals presented chronic intoxication.

Polyclonal Regulatory T Cell Manufacturing Under cGMP: A Decade of Experience.

We report on manufacturing outcomes for 41 autologous polyclonal regulatory T cell (PolyTreg) products for 7 different Phase 1 clinical trials over a 10-year period (2011-2020). Data on patient characteristics, manufacturing parameters, and manufacturing outcomes were collected from manufacturing batch records and entered into a secure database. Overall, 88% (36/41) of PolyTreg products met release criteria and 83% (34/41) of products were successfully infused into patients.

Background: Few studies prospectively assessed risk factors for ventricular fibrillation (VF) during a first myocardial infarction (MI). We designed a nation-wide study aiming to identify clinical and genetic characteristics associated with primary VF; and report here about clinical features.
