This study sought to develop a method of improving the differential diagnostic between healthy and obstructed kidneys using only parameters derived from the 99mTc-MAG3 renogram. The analysis included data from 46 healthy and 36 obstructed kidney units. The parameters calculated were: mean transit time (MTT), time at 20% of the initial height of the renal retention function (T20) and time to peak of the renogram (TP).

This study provides values of transit times obtained by 99Tcm- mercaptoacetyl triglycine (99Tcm-MAG3) renogram deconvolution for both normal subjects and kidney graft recipients. The analysis included 50 healthy kidney units from 25 volunteers and 28 normal functioning kidney grafts. The parameters calculated for the whole kidney (WK) and for the renal parenchyma (P) were: mean transit time (MTT) and times at 20% (T20) and 80% (T80) of renal retention function initial height.

We describe a patient with right paratracheal and left hilar lymph nodes detected by chance on chest radiography that followed a spontaneous remission. However, a few months later she complained of multiple scalp nodules. Skull roentgenogram and computerized tomogram scan showed multiple osteolytic lesions with increased uptake in bone and gallium scans.
