Significant knowledge gaps remain in our understanding of the reproductive physiology and diseases of elasmobranchs. The objective of this work is to describe the clinical, imaging, and pathologic findings associated with polycystic ovaries in cownose rays housed in public aquariums. Ten adult female cownose rays Rhinoptera bonasus housed in 4 public aquariums presented with variable nonspecific (lethargy, anorexia, cutaneous discoloration) or no clinical signs.

Introduction: Hypertension, the clinical condition of persistent high blood pressure (BP), is preventable yet remains a significant contributor to poor cardiovascular outcomes. Digital self-management support tools can increase patient self-care behaviours to improve BP. We created a patient-facing and provider-facing clinical decision support (CDS) application, called the Collaboration Oriented Approach to Controlling High BP (COACH), to integrate home BP data, guideline recommendations and patient-centred goals with primary care workflows.

Background: Dislocated IOL exchange conventionally involves manipulation within the anterior chamber which risks secondary injury to anterior chamber structures. We describe and evaluate a 4-haptic IOL rescue technique that avoids entering the anterior chamber and thus minimizes post operative inflammation, astigmatism and recovery time relative to conventional IOL explantation and replacement techniques.
