Objectives: This study examined the impact of sensory impairment (hearing and/or vision) combined with poor physical performance on cognitive decline and assessed whether social activity participation mediated this relationship.
Methods: Multilevel models were used to explore the relationships between sensory impairment, physical performance, their combination, and cognitive decline. A multilevel mediation model analyzed the mediating effect of social activity participation.
Background: Although tumor necrosis factor receptor 2 (TNFR2) has been recognized as an attractive next-generation candidate target for cancer immunotherapy, the factors that regulate the gene expression and their mechanistic effects on tumor-infiltrating regulatory T cells (Treg cells) remain poorly understood.
Methods: Single-cell RNA sequencing analysis was employed to analyze the phenotypic and functional differences between TNFR2 Treg cells and TNFR2 Treg cells. Malignant pleural effusion (MPE) from humans and mouse was used to investigate the potential mechanisms by which lactate regulates TNFR2 expression.

Background: Stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD) is an aggressive malignancy characterized by high tumor plasticity and heterogeneity. This study investigates the role of Autophagy and Beclin 1 Regulator 1 (AMBRA1) in regulating tumor plasticity in STAD progression.
Methods: Combined with clinical data, the pan-cancer analysis of AMBRA1 was performed to analyze the role of AMBRA1 in STAD.
Mechanical ventilation (MV) remains a cornerstone of critical care; however, its prolonged application can exacerbate lung injury, leading to ventilator-induced lung injury (VILI). Although previous studies have implicated ferroptosis in the pathogenesis of VILI, the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. This study investigated the roles of ferritinophagy in ferroptosis subsequent to VILI.
