The Burden of Multiple Myeloma in China: Trends from 1990 to 2021 and Forecasts for 2050.

This study updates the disease burden of multiple myeloma (MM) in thirty-three provincial administrative units in China from 1990 to 2021 and forecast the disease burden for 2050. Data from the 2021 Global Burden of Disease (GBD) database was used for analysis. In 2021, there were an estimated 17,250 new MM cases and 12,984 deaths in China.

Virus-host protein interaction is critical for successful completion of viral replication cycles. As the largest nonstructural protein (NSP) of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV), NSP2 plays multiple and critical roles in viral replication, antiviral immunity, cellular tropism and virulence. An interactome of this protein with host proteins would be instrumental in full understanding of these multifunctional roles.

To further explore the mechanisms underlying cSCC, we analyzed the data from one single-cell RNA sequencing study and discovered a significant upregulation of tryptophan 2,3-dioxygenase (TDO2) in the cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs).

Cervical cancer remains a significant global health concern. KIF18A, a kinesin motor protein regulating microtubule dynamics during mitosis, is frequently overexpressed in various cancers, but its regulatory mechanisms are poorly understood. This study investigates KIF18A's role in cervical cancer and its regulation by the JNK1/c-Jun signaling pathway.

New Insights on Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy for Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.

Background: In recent times, the applications of continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) beyond kidney-related conditions have been progressively increasing, and its implementation in randomized controlled trials (RCTs) specifically for acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) has been documented. This meta-analysis compiles all existing RCTs to assess whether CRRT benefits ARDS.

Methods: We searched 12 databases in English and Chinese and two clinical trial centers up to November 28, 2023.
