Background: Recent analyses suggest that existing infection preventionist (IP) staffing ratios do not reflect the scope of institutional needs after accounting for complexity and non-inpatient locations. We sought to determine the current IP staffing level required to address the complexity and scope of our pediatric ambulatory and procedural operations.
Methods: This needs assessment was adapted from previous analyses by Bartles et al (2018).
Background: Mobile stroke units have been shown to deliver faster patient care and improve clinical outcomes. However, costs associated with staffing limit their use to densely populated cities. Using the Melbourne mobile stroke unit, we aim to evaluate the safety, timeliness, and resource efficiency of a telemedicine model, where the neurologist assesses a patient remotely, via telemedicine, compared with an onboard neurologist model.

Methods: This was a phase I, randomised, placebo-controlled, two-part, proof-of-mechanism and proof-of-concept study. In part A, healthy participants were randomised 3:1 to receive GSK3858279 as either single intravenous (0.
Understanding the factors that drive spatial synchrony among populations or species is important for management and recovery of populations. The range-wide declines in Atlantic salmon () populations may be the result of broad-scale changes in the marine environment. Salmon undergo rapid growth in the ocean; therefore changing marine conditions may affect body size and fecundity estimates used to evaluate whether stock reference points are met.
