Purpose: To evaluate the effect of instructional therapeutic play on acceptance of nasal lavage in children hospitalized for respiratory conditions.

Design And Methods: This quasi-experimental study was conducted at a teaching hospital. For the therapeutic play session, disposable gloves filled with compressed air and designed to resemble a human face, syringes, and saline solution ampoules were used.

Chromoblastomycosis in Brazil: A review of 450 published cases.

Chromoblastomycosis is a skin infection caused by melanized fungi that primarily affects rural workers. This study aimed to analyze the clinical and epidemiological manifestations of chromoblastomycosis in Brazil through an extensive literature review. A review of case reports or series of cases in English and Portuguese was conducted using the SciELO, LILACS, SCOPUS, PubMed, and Web of Science databases from 1963 to 2022.

Effectiveness of a therapeutic bath for pain relief in hospitalized children with respiratory conditions: Randomized controlled clinical trial.

Aim: To assess the effectiveness of a therapeutic bath combined with analgesic medication versus the use of analgesic medication alone in alleviating generalized acute pain in hospitalized children with respiratory conditions.

Methods: A randomized controlled clinical trial, with parallel groups, with children aged 28 days to 3 years who were hospitalized for respiratory conditions with associated pain. Participants were allocated into two groups: 40 children to a control group (CG), which received isolated analgesic medication at same time, and 40 children to an intervention group (IG), which received both a therapeutic bath and analgesic medication.
