Vascular closure devices (VCDs) are a diverse class of cardiovascular devices intended to achieve hemostasis following arteriotomy in the common femoral artery for diagnostic and therapeutic interventional procedures. While the preclinical evaluation of VCDs parallel that of many other cardiovascular devices, there are device-specific nuances and model-specific technical considerations in assessing performance and handling, determining safety, and satisfying regulatory requirements. Despite the multi-decade use and continued development of novel VCD technologies, there is a paucity of published literature on their preclinical evaluation.

Most surgeons tie half-hitch knots, of which some configurations are prone to slippage. We aim to characterize the securities of different half-hitch knot configurations.

We sought to describe our center's experience and infection rate with continuous perineural catheters in the setting of pain management for patients suffering from burns.
Methods: A retrospective observational study was performed including all patients admitted to an American Burn Association-verified regional burn center between January 2018 and July 2023 who received a continuous peripheral nerve block for an acute burn injury.
Layered double hydroxide (LDH) nanoparticles enable foliar delivery of genetic material, herbicides, and nutrients to promote plant growth and yield. Understanding the foliar uptake route of nanoparticles is needed to maximize their effectiveness and avoid unwanted negative effects. In this study, we investigated how delivering layered double hydroxide ( = 37 ± 1.
