Robust proteome profiling of cysteine-reactive fragments using label-free chemoproteomics.

Identifying pharmacological probes for human proteins represents a key opportunity to accelerate the discovery of new therapeutics. High-content screening approaches to expand the ligandable proteome offer the potential to expedite the discovery of novel chemical probes to study protein function. Screening libraries of reactive fragments by chemoproteomics offers a compelling approach to ligand discovery, however, optimising sample throughput, proteomic depth, and data reproducibility remains a key challenge.

Classroom recordings: Utilization and influence on course performance.

Objective: Providing video recordings of lecture material may enhance student flexibility, but does it alter attendance or influence their grade? This project assessed the extent and purpose of video usage by students and evaluated their impact on course performance within first-year basic science courses in a chiropractic curriculum.

Methods: All first-year students enrolled at a chiropractic college based in the United States were invited to complete a retrospective survey regarding video usage, attendance, and study behaviors for basic science courses they were enrolled during the previous term. Grades were third-party obtained for each consenting student.

Dance with the senses. A dance class with visual impaired and sighted children in a conservatory: one-year experience.

Background: Children with visual impairment very often have additional motor disorders and developmental delays. They are less active than typical children of a similar age, even though physical activity is essential for their well-being.

Methods: A weekly dance class for 1 year was offered to 4 visually impaired and 5 sighted children in a conservatory.

The ethical challenges of diversifying genomic data: A qualitative evidence synthesis.

This article aims to explore the ethical issues arising from attempts to diversify genomic data and include individuals from underserved groups in studies exploring the relationship between genomics and health. We employed a qualitative synthesis design, combining data from three sources: 1) a rapid review of empirical articles published between 2000 and 2022 with a primary or secondary focus on diversifying genomic data, or the inclusion of underserved groups and ethical issues arising from this, 2) an expert workshop and 3) a narrative review. Using these three sources we found that ethical issues are interconnected across structural factors and research practices.

A scoping review to identify barriers and facilitators of research participation among chiropractic faculty.

Objective: To describe peer-reviewed literature on chiropractic faculty participation in research and identify important barriers and facilitators.

Methods: We conducted a scoping review using comprehensive searches of relevant databases from inception through November 2022. English language publications of any design were included, with search terms consisting of subject headings specific to each database and free text words related to chiropractic, faculty, and research.
