[Transcranial magnet therapy in comprehensive therapy of migraine].

Unlabelled: Migraine is a primary form of headache characterized by throbbing unilateral attacks, increased sensitivity to light and sound, accompanied by nausea and/or vomiting, lasting from 4 hours to 3 days. Developing and implementing new methods of pain relief is an urgent task of modern medicine. One of the safest and most commonly recommended methods is transcranial magnet therapy (TMT).

Conjugate of pyrimidine derivative, the drug xymedon with succinic acid protects liver cells.

The aim of the study was to investigate the hepatoprotective properties of the conjugate of the xymedon drug substance with succinic acid (1a). The study presents an in vitro comparative evaluation of the cytotoxicity and cytoprotective properties of 1a and succinic acid on a cell line of normal human hepatocytes Chang Liver, and in vivo investigation of the ability of 1a to restore liver from the toxic damage caused by CCl in Wistar rats. It was shown that the cytotoxicity of 1a was 19.

[Clinical effectiveness of «thresholdless» low-frequency transcranial magnetic stimulation in patients with ischemic stroke].

Problem Relevance: As you know, complete successful recovery in stroke patients occurs only in 8% of cases, 20% need constant care. The use of innovative rehabilitation technologies, namely «thresholdless» low-frequency transcranial magnetic stimulation, will speed up the process of restoring impaired functions, increase independence in everyday life and, accordingly, the quality of life.

Aim Of Study: To evaluate the effectiveness of use of low-frequency «thresholdless» transcranial magnetic stimulation in the treatment of patients in acute period of ischemic stroke.

[Assessment of need in nutritional support in patients with the consequences of central nervous system injuries].

Traumatic brain injury (TBI) and spinal cord injury (SCI) are most common causes of death and disability in young patients. Metabolic changes occur immediately after the acute injury of the central nervous system. However hypermetabolic response in SCI is less pronounced compared to that in TBI that could be explained by the weakness of denervated muscles and hypodynamia.

Season's appreciations.

To follow the tradition set by the late Franz Halberg, highlights of research performed over the last year from his Minnesota Center are summarized. They illustrate the broad international cooperation enjoyed by his center and the diversity of applications of the discipline he founded. The results briefly summarized herein in the form of an annotated bibliography are a testimony that his legacy continues to live on and constitutes a tribute to his memory.
