Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is challenging to treat because of its lack of specific molecular targets. The IMMUNOPEG study aimed to evaluate a novel structured method for interpreting TNBC immunohistochemistry specimens processed with VENTANA PD-L1 (SP142) assay. The study involved 10 pathologists who evaluated 50 different immunohistochemistry specimens of TNBC with programmed death ligand 1 (PD-L1) expression considered challenging and that were previously evaluated by the scientific committee, using the NAVIFY Digital Pathology platform.

COVID-19 among workers of a comprehensive cancer centre between first and second epidemic waves (2020): a seroprevalence study in Catalonia, Spain.

Objectives: Patients with cancer are at higher risk for severe COVID-19 infection. COVID-19 surveillance of workers in oncological centres is crucial to assess infection burden and prevent transmission. We estimate the SARS-CoV-2 seroprevalence among healthcare workers (HCWs) of a comprehensive cancer centre in Catalonia, Spain, and analyse its association with sociodemographic characteristics, exposure factors and behaviours.

When dealing with lignocellulosic biomass in anaerobic digestion, a pretreatment stage is always required to open the structure of the material, facilitating its degradation. Numerous methods have been developed to pretreat lignocellulosic biomass. Four of them: cavitation, pelleting, extrusion and torrefaction have been comparatively studied in this paper as ways to improve the production of methane by anaerobic digestion of two different feedstocks: barley straw and vine shoots.
