Background: This study aimed to investigate factors associated with burnout among healthcare workers (HCWs) in a tertiary hospital in Singapore.

Methods: All HCWs from the Singapore General Hospital were invited to participate in a survey using a secure online platform. Participant demographic data were collected.

Covalent 2D magnets such as CrTe, which feature self-intercalated magnetic cations located between monolayers of transition-metal dichalcogenide material, offer a unique platform for controlling magnetic order and spin texture, enabling new potential applications for spintronic devices. Here, it is demonstrated that the unconventional anomalous Hall effect (AHE) in CrTe, characterized by additional humps and dips near the coercive field in AHE hysteresis, originates from an intrinsic mechanism dictated by the self-intercalation. This mechanism is distinctly different from previously proposed mechanisms such as topological Hall effect, or two-channel AHE arising from spatial inhomogeneities.

Article Synopsis
  • Multimodal AI chatbots, which can process both medical images and text, may offer improved diagnostic accuracy in clinical oncology compared to text-only chatbots, but this difference is still being evaluated.
  • *The study aimed to assess the effectiveness of these chatbots using prompt engineering to generate accurate medical responses to 79 oncology-related questions.
  • *Results indicated that the top-performing chatbot achieved a 72.15% accuracy rate in multiple-choice responses, while free-text responses showed varied performance among chatbots, with some multimodal options performing well.

Introduction: Over the past decade, several randomized controlled trials have compared single-day dexamethasone (dexamethasone-sparing) regimens to the current standard multi-day dexamethasone antiemetic regimen for chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV). The aim of this systematic review and meta-analysis is to compare the efficacy and safety of dexamethasone-sparing regimens to standard multi-day dexamethasone, used for the prophylaxis of CINV.

Methods: Ovid Medline and Embase were searched from database inception to March 2024.

The vast repository of van der Waals (vdW) materials supporting polaritons offers numerous possibilities to tailor electromagnetic waves at the nanoscale. The development of twistoptics-the modulation of the optical properties by twisting stacks of vdW materials-enables directional propagation of phonon polaritons (PhPs) along a single spatial direction, known as canalization. Here we demonstrate a complementary type of directional propagation of polaritons by reporting the visualization of unidirectional ray polaritons (URPs).
