Study Design/setting: A retrospective cohort study.
Objective: To compare long-term outcomes and complications of cervical disc replacement (CDR) and anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) with cage-plate constructs (CPC) and stand-alone (SA) cages in treating degenerative cervical spondylosis.
Summary Of Background Data: ACDF is commonly used for cervical radiculopathy but may increase adjacent segment degeneration (ASD).

Objective: To elucidate the immediate electrophysiological effects of mirror visual feedback (MVF) combined with or without touch task in subacute stroke.
Methods: Subacute stroke patients and healthy controls were recruited to participate in four grasping tasks (MVF or no MVF, combined with rubber ball or no ball) under electroencephalogram (EEG) monitoring. Event-related desynchronization (ERD) /event-related synchronization (ERS) and the lateralization index (LI) were utilized to observe the electrophysiological effects.
Fullerenols, a water-soluble polyhydroxy derivative of fullerene, hold promise in medical and materials science due to their unique properties. However, concerns about their potential embryotoxicity remain. Using a pregnancy mouse model and metabolomics analysis, our findings reveal that fullerenols exposure during pregnancy not only significantly reduced mice placental weight and villi thickness, but also altered the classes and concentrations of metabolites in the mouse placenta.

In this paper, a novel optical fiber surface plasmon resonance (SPR) biosensor based on TiC MXene/GNRs synergistically highly enhanced sensitivity was proposed. The TiC MXene and GNRs were coated on the optical fiber sensing probe by the electrostatic layer-by-layer (ELBL) assembly method.
