Schwannomas are rare, benign tumours arising from Schwann cells, with oesophageal cases representing a small fraction. Their variety of symptoms and nonspecific imaging features often make preoperative diagnosis challenging, frequently requiring immunohistochemical staining for confirmation. We describe the case of a 62-year-old woman with progressive dysphagia, found to have a subepithelial mass at the gastroesophageal junction (GOJ).

Methods: Statewide collaborative quality initiative data, focused on decreasing the nulliparous, term, singleton, vertex (NTSV) cesarean birth rate, were used to conduct a retrospective cohort study to assess differences in cesarean birth for nonreassuring fetal status between birthing people identifying as Black compared with White.
The World Health Organization (WHO) recognizes the right of individuals with dementia and their family caregivers to access interventions that enhance their participation in society. Reablement is an approach that enables older people to participate in meaningful daily and social activities. Over the past decade, a growing body of evidence has underscored reablement as a promising approach within dementia care, including positive outcomes for people with dementia and their family caregivers, and cost-effectiveness.

This study aimed to use a participatory methodology to explore the determinants of an age-friendly neighbourhood built environment that promotes or limits healthy ageing in place among seniors residing in a low-income urban community in Singapore.
