Objective:  A recent randomized clinical trial (RCT) showed that listening to music reduces the pain level and anxiety levels in women with spontaneous labor at term. The effect on pregnant women undergoing induction of labor is still unclear.This study aimed to test the hypothesis that in nulliparous women with singleton pregnancies, undergoing induction of labor at term, listening to music would reduce the pain level during labor.

Introduction: Alterations of scapular kinematics are generically reported as scapular dyskinesis (SD), and are a nonspecific response to various shoulder pathologies. The most widely used classification is Kibler's (K), which is, however, characterized by poor sensitivity. Potential celiac disease (PCD) is a clinical condition characterised by the presence of a positive CD-specific serology and a normal intestinal architecture. Asymptomatic PCD patients are generally advised to continue on a gluten-containing diet (GCD), but long-term risks of this approach have never been explored. In the present study, we aimed to investigate nutritional and autoimmune complications possibly developing overtime in a cohort of asymptomatic PCD children on a GCD.

We describe the case of a 45-year-old female affected by asthma and nasal polyposis who presented to the emergency department because of worsening dyspnea and paresthesia of the left lower limb. Comprehensive instrumental examinations revealed the presence of severe left ventricle dysfunction, intra-cardiac thrombus, deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, lung infiltrates, polyserositis, and neurological involvements. Finally, the patient was diagnosed with eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA), formerly Churg-Strauss syndrome, a rare vasculitis of small-medium blood vessels with several organ involvements.
