The clinical and radiological results were excellent for each of the nine fixtures individually tested in a case followed for 12 years after implant treatment using split crest technique in combination with porous titanium granules for an augmentation of the dento-alveolar ridge in a severely resorbed maxilla.

Autotransplantation of teeth in cases with agenesis or traumatic loss of maxillary incisors.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the prognosis of 50 consecutively autotransplanted teeth to the maxillary incisor region. Thirty-five were transplanted in cases of traumatic injuries, eleven in cases of agenesis and four in cases with impaction of maxillary canines. The average follow-up time was 7 years and 6 months (range 4-17 years).

Autotransplantation of third molars as treatment in advanced periodontal disease.

The aim of this study was to investigate the prognosis of replacing molars with advanced periodontitis by autotransplanted fully developed third molars. The patient sample consisted of 18 subjects, 24-58 years of age. The patients selected had at least 1 molar with advanced periodontal tissue destruction.

Influence of orthodontic treatment on root development of autotransplanted premolars.

The aim of this study was to clarify whether orthodontic movement of autotransplanted premolars will affect the final root length of the transplants. A group of 29 autotransplanted premolars that had been orthodontically treated was compared with a group of 30 autotransplanted premolars that had not been orthodontically treated. Contralateral teeth in both groups served as controls.
