Rodents employ a broad spectrum of ultrasonic vocalizations (USVs) for social communication. As these vocalizations offer valuable insights into affective states, social interactions, and developmental stages of animals, various deep learning approaches have aimed at automating both the quantitative (detection) and qualitative (classification) analysis of USVs. So far, no notable efforts have been made to determine the most suitable architecture.

For regression tasks, most approaches implement a variation of the ensemble method, apart from few exceptions. Instead of a single estimator, a group of estimators yields several predictions for an input.

The study focusses on the development and in vitro and in vivo testing of a novel microstent for MIGS.
Methods: A silicone elastomer-based microstent was developed.
Radiotherapy is an essential component of multi-modality treatment of glioblastoma (GBM). However, treatment failure and recurrence are frequent and give rise to the dismal prognosis of this aggressive type of primary brain tumor. A high level of inherent treatment resistance is considered to be the major underlying reason, stemming from constantly activated DNA damage response (DDR) mechanisms as a consequence of oncogene overexpression, persistent replicative stress, and other so far unknown reasons.

Among the molecular genetic methods, 16S-rRNA genes were of central importance to reconstruct the phylogeny of newly isolated bacteria and to localize them . However, they usually do not allow resolution for phylogenetic affiliations below genus level.
