Fractures of hamate: a clinical overview.

Hamate fractures are exceedingly rare clinical entities. However, the diagnosis and treatment of these injuries are often delayed and can severely handicap the performance of affected laborers or athletes. This review focuses on fractures of the hamate and provides an update on the current consensus as to mechanism, diagnosis, management, and complications after such injuries.

Hip abductor tendinitis after ACL reconstruction with patellar tendon graft in soccer players. A new clinical complication.

 Although ACL reconstruction remains a complex procedure with possible complications, affecting mainly the knee function, but no complications affecting the hip function have been already mentioned in the literature. Here in, we discuss the demographics, clinical course and outcomes of a rare complication such as hip abductors tendinitis, developed in soccer amateur athletes after ACL reconstruction with patellar tendon graft.
