Background: Cardiovascular disease starts early in the course of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and is the leading cause of death in patients with end-stage renal disease. Since high-sensitivity cardiac troponin T (hs-cTnT) can detect much lower levels of myocardial injury than conventional assays, it may be useful for studying the earliest stages of heart disease in patients with CKD.

Objective: To evaluate the association of circulating hs-cTnT with LV structural and functional abnormalities detected by echocardiography among dialysis dependent and non-dialysis dependent CKD patients.

Introduction: Despite the presence of a prognostic risk stratification sco-ring system for Hodgkin lymphoma (HL), the lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio (LMR) is a simple and low-cost test that has been investigated as a prognostic marker to evaluate the clinical course and survival outcomes.

Material And Methods: We prospectively enrolled 92 patients with classical HL (CHL), who were diagnosed and treated in the period from April 2017 to April 2020. Lymphocyte monocyte ratio cut-off values were estimated using receiver operating characteristic curves.

In this review, we provide an overview of essential clinical trials examining the effect of vagal nerve stimulation (VNS) in treatment-resistant depression (TRD), the applicable neuroanatomy of the vagus nerve, and the proposed mechanism of action (MOA) of VNS in TRD. Vagal nerve stimulation (VNS) is currently the only FDA-approved neurostimulation treatment for severe treatment-resistant depression (TRD). The implanted VNS device sends electrical impulses to the left cervical vagus nerve, resulting in stimulation of afferent vagal brainstem pathways known to be associated with mood regulation.

Objectives: Individuals with subjective memory complaints and symptoms of depression and/or anxiety are at high risk for further cognitive decline, and possible progression to dementia. Low-burden interventions to help slow or prevent cognitive decline in this high-risk group are needed. The objective of this study is to assess the feasibility of combining Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) with transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) to increase putative benefits of MBSR for cognitive function and everyday mindfulness in depressed or anxious older adults with subjective cognitive decline.

Background And Aim: The present study was conducted to evaluate the number of Tregs in triple negative breast cancer (TNBC), in normal breast parenchyma and in the peripheral blood of these patients and controls, in addition to their correlations with the clinico-pathologic features and the outcomes of TNBC.

Methods: Thirty adult treatment-naïve women with non-metastatic TNBC were recruited. In addition, 20 ages matched healthy females participated as a control group.
