The Ganga River (known internationally as the Ganges) is one of the world's most prominent rivers, running from the Himalayas to the Bay of Bengal and supporting the livelihoods of > 40 % of India's 1.4 billion population. The Ganga River is regionally and globally important, supporting agriculture and industry, yet faces potentially detrimental water quality challenges arising from runoff and discharge from increasing urbanization, industry and agriculture.

Subjective social status and trajectories of frailty: findings from the English Longitudinal Study of Ageing.

Objectives: Subjective social status is a known antecedent for many health outcomes, but little research has examined the association between subjective status and frailty among older people. Using longitudinal data, the goal of this study was, first, to identify latent trajectories of frailty over time, and second, to investigate the relationship between subjective social status and frailty trajectory.

Methods: Data were drawn from the 2002-2019 surveys of the English Longitudinal Study of Ageing, involving 9484 individuals aged 50+ years at baseline.

Electron counting helped realize the resolution revolution in single-particle cryoEM and is now accelerating the determination of MicroED structures. Its advantages are best demonstrated by new direct electron detectors capable of fast (kilohertz) event-based electron counting (EBEC). This strategy minimizes the inaccuracies introduced by coincidence loss (CL) and promises rapid determination of accurate structures.

Investigate the function of this gene, we used a knockout (KO) mouse model of its murine ortholog, . KO mice exhibit the characteristic phenotypic features seen in human TS patients, including increased epileptiform activity.

Clinical Trial to Assess the Safety and Tolerability of Anti-IL 23 Monoclonal Antibody Guselkumab in Patients With Alcohol-Associated Liver Disease.

Background: There are no FDA-approved therapies for alcohol-associated liver disease (ALD). Preclinical studies indicate that blocking IL-23/IL-17 signalling may reverse liver injury. Guselkumab, an IL-23-specific antibody approved for psoriasis, may be beneficial for ALD.
