No Vaccine, No Organ? Ethics of Vaccine Mandates for Pediatric Transplant.

Many transplant programs worldwide are likely to impose vaccine mandates for pediatric solid organ transplant candidates; some already do. Three potential benefits that advocates invoke to justify mandates are improved patient outcomes, efficient organ allocation, and contributions to community protection. We show that none of these benefits can justify mandates.

- Satellite images and oceanographic modeling revealed that water currents and temperature variations in the Gulf of Ancud supported the development and maintenance of this harmful algal bloom, indicating a hotspot for both HABs and HB-HAB
Objective: To define the frequency and associations of opioid use in SSc.
Methods: Australian Scleroderma Cohort Study participants meeting ACR/EULAR criteria for SSc were included. Current or previous opioid use was recorded at each visit, with long-term use defined as use on two or more consecutive visits.
Introduction/objectives: To identify the frequency, correlates and progression of frailty in systemic sclerosis (SSc).
Method: All Australian Scleroderma Cohort Study participants meeting ACR/EULAR criteria with a calculable FRAIL Scale score were included. FRAIL Scale scores were calculated annually and were used to group participants as 'robust', 'pre-frail' or 'frail'.
