Background: Tracheal extubation failure after cardiac surgery is associated with diminished cough strength, albeit the information on cough strength in post-cardiac surgery patients is limited.
Aim: To investigate the cough strength in patients after cardiac surgery before tracheal extubation and the related influencing factors.
Study Design: A cross-sectional study was designed, with adherence to the STROBE guidelines.

Here, using genome-wide CRISPR screens, we find that BET inhibitor efficacy in mediating transcriptional silencing and growth inhibition depends on the auxiliary/arm/tail module of the Integrator-PP2A complex (INTAC), a global regulator of RNA polymerase II pause-release dynamics.

Methods: We collected clinical, pathologic, and demographic variables from five institutions for patients whose tumors met criteria for SMARCA4-UTs (undifferentiated phenotype and loss of SMARCA4 (BRG1) by immunohistochemistry).
Results: We identified 92 patients with SMARCA4-UTs; 58 (63%) had stage IV disease at diagnosis and 16 (17%) developed recurrent or metastatic disease after initial diagnosis.
